How to use the result without overreacting to one score
Your percentage is a snapshot of these 20 questions, not an official score prediction. Use the weakest category as a starting point: if grammar is lowest, practise one pattern in short sentences; if reading is lowest, read for time, place, and action before translating; if kanji is lowest, pair a small writing session with familiar words such as 日本, 学校, and 毎日.
The worldwide schedule lists Sunday, December 6, 2026; availability outside Japan can vary by city. Confirm your local session and registration details on the official site.
5 Common Mistakes in a 30-Day N5 Plan
Trying to repair every topic at once. Start with the category that cost you the most points.
Only doing new material. Each day must include a brief return to yesterday’s words or patterns.
Reading every line word by word. First locate who, when, where, and what happened.
Writing kanji without vocabulary. Add a familiar word beside each character you write.
Calling one score a final verdict. Retake the diagnostic in a week to measure what your focused study changed.
Frequently Asked Questions
When is the December 2026 JLPT?
The official worldwide schedule lists Sunday, December 6, 2026. Availability can vary by city outside Japan, so check the official local schedule before registering.
Is this an official JLPT test?
No. It is a short free diagnostic that samples beginner vocabulary, grammar, reading, and kanji. It cannot predict an official score.
How does the readiness result work?
The result is your percentage correct across 20 questions, plus a category breakdown. It is a study signal, not a pass guarantee.
Can I use the plan without the app?
Yes. The diagnostic, checklist, worksheet pack, printing, and share card all work free in the browser.
Does the toolkit store my answers?
No diagnostic answers or scores are sent to the site. The plan may only keep checkbox progress locally in your current browser.
What should I do after the diagnostic?
Print the plan, start with the weakest category, use the worksheet pack in short sessions, and retake the diagnostic after a week.
