正解：３ — 起きる (おきる) means "to wake up / to get up." 起 carries the meaning of rising.

２ 駅の近くに大きいスーパーがあります。

正解：２ — 近く (ちかく) means "nearby / close." とおく (遠く) is the opposite — "far away."

３ 友達と映画を見ました。

正解：４ — 映画 (えいが) means "movie / film." Note the voiced が — not か.

４ 来週、試験があります。

正解：４ — 来週 (らいしゅう) = next week. 今週 (こんしゅう) = this week; 毎週 (まいしゅう) = every week.

正解：３ — 昨日 (きのう) = yesterday. 今日 = today; 明日 = tomorrow.

もんだい３　文脈規定

正解：３ — 一杯 (いっぱい) is the counter for cups and glasses of liquid. まい = flat objects; こ = small items; ほん = long objects.

正解：４ — 暑い (あつい) = hot. Opening a window makes sense when the room is hot. さむい = cold; あかるい = bright.

１０ 図書館で本を二（　）借りました。

正解：４ — 冊 (さつ) is the counter for books and bound publications. まい = flat objects; だい = machines; ほん = long cylindrical objects.
言語知識（文法）Language Knowledge — Grammar · Questions 11–20

もんだい１　文の文法１

（　）に なにを いれますか。いちばんいいものを １・２・３・４ の中から一つえらんでください。

１１ 私（　）学生です。

正解：２ — は marks the topic of the sentence. 私は学生です = "As for me, I am a student." Using が would shift emphasis to "it is I who am a student," which is unusual in a simple self-introduction.

１２ 毎朝６時（　）起きます。

正解：４ — に marks a specific point in time: ６時に起きます = "I wake up at 6 o'clock." Use に with specific times (6時, 月曜日, 3月). Do not use に with relative expressions (今日, 毎朝).

１３ 昨日、友達（　）映画を見ました。

正解：３ — と marks a companion: 友達と映画を見ました = "I watched a movie with a friend." に would mark a destination or recipient, not a companion doing the same activity.

１４ 宿題をして（　）、寝ます。

正解：３ — てから means "after doing X, then Y": 宿題をしてから、寝ます = "After doing homework, I sleep." This pattern expresses a clear sequence of two actions.

正解：４ — てはいけません expresses prohibition: "You must not smoke here." The particle は is essential to this fixed pattern. Compare with permission: てもいいです.

正解：３ — ています describes an ongoing action: 聴いています = "is listening." Te-form (聴いて) + います creates this continuous pattern.

正解：１ — い-adjectives before です stay in their plain form: むずかしい＋です. Adding な is wrong (that's for な-adjectives). むずかしく is the adverb form used before verbs, not before です.

How to answer: Arrange the four numbered words into the correct order to complete the sentence. Then identify which word falls on the ★ position — that is the answer you select. Example: if the correct order is ②→①→★→③, and the ★ slot holds word ④, select ４.

山本さんは先週の土曜日に友達と一緒に公園へ行きました。公園でサンドイッチを食べてから、サッカーをしました。３時間ぐらい遊んで、とても楽しかったです。夜は家でピザを注文して、映画を見ました。日曜日は家で宿題をしました。

２１ 山本さんは先週の土曜日にどこへ行きましたか。

正解：２ — 「友達と一緒に公園へ行きました」 — stated directly in the first sentence.

２２ 山本さんたちは公園で何をしましたか。

正解：３ — 「サンドイッチを食べてから、サッカーをしました」 — they played soccer after eating.

２３ 日曜日に山本さんは何をしましたか。

正解：３ — 「日曜日は家で宿題をしました」 — the final sentence. Note: the movie was on Saturday night, not Sunday.
